CABINET STRATEGY COMMITTEE TERMS OF REFERENCE

To consider strategic and major policy issues including:

employment and welfare reform, and strengthening families strategy, including the code of social responsibility;
retirement income issues;
macro economic issues, fiscal outlook and priorities for the budget, and tax strategy;
Treaty of Waitangi claims negotiations policy and other major issues concerning Maori social, cultural and economic wellbeing and development;
foreign affairs and defence policy issues;
major structure of government issues and chief executive policy issues.
